This appendix provides systematic instructions detailing what to do when system
enclosures are not receiving power—or when LEDs on the enclosures, hot-plug
power supplies, or power distribution devices indicate a problem.
For a list of new server error messages that are specific to the server blade, refer to
the setup and installation guide for the server blade.
For information on LEDs and switches specific to the server blade, refer to the setup
and installation guide for the server blade.
For information about general troubleshooting techniques, diagnostic tools, error
messages, and preventative maintenance, refer to the Servers Troubleshooting Guide
on the Documentation CD.

When the System Does Not Power Up

To power the server blades, the system must have adequate power from the facility
source, AC to DC conversion (if applicable), and proper distribution on all buses
throughout the infrastructure.
WARNING: A risk of injury due to hazardous energy levels exists. The
installation of options and the routine maintenance and service of this product
shall be performed by individuals who are knowledgeable about the
procedures, precautions, and hazards associated with equipment containing
hazardous energy circuits.
