Switch Features
The following fiber optic transceiver types are available:

Port LEDs

Amber and green/blue LEDs to the left of each Fibre Channel port illuminate,
extinguish, or blink to indicate port status and port speed.

Shortwave laser–Shortwave laser SFPs provide short-distance connections (2
to 500 meters) through 50-micron or 62.5-micron multi-mode fiber.
Longwave laser–Longwave laser SFPs provide long-distance connections
(up to 10 kilometers) through 9-micron single-mode fiber.
Extended longwave laser–Two types of extended longwave laser transceivers
provide connections for transferring 2.125 Gbps data up to 20 kilometers or
35 kilometers through 9-micron single-mode fiber.
Amber LED–illuminates if the port fails.
Green/blue LED–illuminates green to indicate 1.0625 Gbps port operation.
Illuminates blue to indicate 2.125 Gbps port operation.
