To Define a Copy Policy
Click on the Define policy button on the Copy Policy page to display the Define Copy Policy page. This
page contains a number of tabs that allow you to set the parameters for the copy policy.
General Tab
The General tab defines the format and rename options for the target copy media and the delay options
for the copy job.
Select Auto format all media or Auto format blank.
Rename media to new media name on overwrite. By default, a copy policy uses the same name
for the target copy media as it does for the backup job media. A rename of the source media will
also rename the target copy media.
Enter a number value to define the number of minutes delay that should be applied after the
backup job completes before the copy job starts or enter a time before which the copy job should
not be run. It is possible to enable both checkboxes. In the following example, the delay minutes
are set to 60 and the earliest start time is set to 1 1:00 AM. If the backup job finishes at 10.15, the
copy job will start at 1 1:15. If the backup job finishes at 9:15, the copy job will start at 1 1:00.
