Pausing Video Recording

Using the REC PAUSE function enables you to pause during video recording.
When you resume shooting after a pause, a chapter (see "Glossary"
POINT
• While video recording is paused, you can shoot still images with the flash, set the
focus by pressing the
pictures.

From the recording menu, use the jog dial to select [REC
PAUSE] and press the OK button.

Use the jog dial to select the setting and press the OK
button.

• Inserting chapters in a video allows you to select different starting points during
video playback.
See "Selecting the Starting Point for Video Playback"
REC button halfway and use the self-timer to take
ON
SETUP
The REC PAUSE setting is set and the recording menu
reappears.
To cancel the setting, press the MENU button.
OFF
ON : The REC PAUSE function is enabled.
CANCEL
OFF : The REC PAUSE function is disabled.
Pressing the
recording pauses shooting and inserts a chapter.
