Problem
The flash does

Select a different scene setting
(not [LANDSCAPE], [SPORTS]
or [SUNSET]).
You cannot use the flash when
shooting still images during
video recording.
Select the [1 SHOT] continuous
recording setting.
You cannot shoot still images
during video recording when
there is less than 10 seconds of
available video recording time
left.
Stop video recording and create
a new album before trying to
shoot still images.
Use another SD card.
Change the destination drive.
Erase some images.
Edit one or more videos.
Move some images to a
different drive or onto a PC or
DVD, etc.
Use a fast SD card (10MB/sec.
or better).
Avoid striking or shaking the
camera.
Avoid moving the camera
suddenly during shooting.
Set the HDD protection to
[OFF].
