System limits
Parking Assist PARKTRONIC does not necessarily
take into account the following obstacles:
Obstacles below the detection range, e.g. per-

sons, animals or objects.
Obstacles above the detection range, e.g.
R
overhanging loads, overhangs or loading
ramps of trucks.
The sensors must be free of dirt, ice and slush.
Otherwise, they may not function correctly. Clean
the sensors regularly, taking care not to scratch
or damage them (
page 187).

Problems with Parking Assist PARKTRONIC
Example: vehicles with 360° camera
When segments at the rear

or all around
light up in red and the é symbol appears on
the instrument display, Parking Assist
PARKTRONIC may have been deactivated due to
interference. Start the vehicle again and check if
Parking Assist PARKTRONIC is working at a differ-
ent location.
