FAQ's

Still looking for more SMOKEFIRE content? Here some some of our most
frequently asked questions from consumers just like you:
Where does the temperature displayed on my
display screen & app come from?
ANSWER: There is a thermocouple (thermometer) located
in the center of the back wall of your grill that measures the
temperature. NOTE: Temperatures may vary in different parts of
the grill.
Why is the temperature of my grill different at
different points in the grill, and how can I prevent
it?
ANSWER: All grills can have variability across the cooking
grate, especially at high searing temperatures. In order to
reduce this variability, it is important to keep the grill lid
closed as much as possible to prevent any change within the
cook box. As we say at WEBER, "looking ain't cooking".
What can I do to reduce variability of the grill
temperature?
ANSWER: SMOKEFIRE was designed for lid down cooking
at high and low temperatures. Make sure that your grill
is preheated, with the lid closed, before adding food. As
SMOKEFIRE reaches its set temperature, heat will even out.
Why should you use WEBER ALL NATURAL
HARDWOOD PELLETS?
ANSWER: SMOKEFIRE was developed and optimized to work
with WEBER brand pellets. Other brands of pellets may
have a different size and shape profile which may affect the
performance of your SMOKEFIRE. It is important to make
sure that you use "fresh" pellets as older pellets may have
absorbed moisture which can cause issues with pellet flow
and grill performance.
