TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom
Grill will not power on
Internal grill light is out
Inside of grill lid appears to have peeling

If the grill will not power on:
1. Check that the power cord is securely plugged into the grill and into a power source.
2. If your grill is using a GFCI outlet, reset the device.
3. If the grill will still not power on after you have completed the above checks, it is
likely that the fuse has blown. See the following instructions on how to replace the
grill's fuse.
4. If the grill will not power on after all steps have been followed, contact the Customer
Service Representative in your area using the contact information on our website.
If the internal grill light is out, it might be time to change the light bulb.
1. Make sure that your grill is shut down, powered off, and unplugged from the power
source.
2. Using the included grill scraper, carefully pry the outside lens from the grill light
housing.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE A SCREWDRIVER OR ANY METAL TOOLS TO PRY THE LENS FROM THE
HOUSING. IT COULD CRACK AND BREAK THE LENS.
3. Gently unscrew the old light bulb from the socket in a counter-clockwise direction.
4. With the grill light lens removed, gently wipe any dirt or dust from the inside of the
lens and light bulb socket using a lint free, non-abrasive cloth.
NOTE: Periodically wipe the lens with a damp cloth to keep the interior grill light illuminating
brightly.
5. Replace the light bulb as follows:
120V regions: 40W Halogen G9 120V
230V regions: 40W Halogen G9 230V
CAUTION: USE HALOGEN REPLACEMENT BULBS ONLY. DO NOT USE LED BULBS AS A
REPLACEMENT. IT COULD CAUSE COMPNENT DAMAGE OR FAILURE.
Using gloves or a lint free, non-abrasive cloth, carefully install the new light bulb into the
socket by gently turning it clockwise.
CAUTION: DO NOT USE YOUR BARE HANDS WHEN INSTALLING THE NEW LIGHT BULB. THIS
COULD LEAD TO PREMATURE BURNOUT OF THE LIGHT BULB.
6. Reinstall the internal grill light lens onto the housing by gently pressing the lens
back onto the front of the housing.
The flakes you see are accumulated cooking vapors that have turned into carbon. This
happens over time after repeated use of your grill. This is not a defect.

Using a grill brush or the included grill scraper, gentley scrub and clean the carbon flakes
off of the lid and cookbox. Wipe clean with a soft cloth or paper towel.
