Run the keyboard tests.
• lf you successfully completed the keyboard tests and
you suspect an intermittent problem
,
start an error log.
Note: On systems without a fuse
,
a short in the key-
board cable could cause a voltage-regulating
device on the system board to disable the 5 V dc
to the keyboard
;
the keyboard is totally nonfunc-
tional unti! the shorted condition is relieved.
• lf you are unable to complete the tests due to nonfunc-
tioning keys, replace the keyboard.
