Oil circuit and air capacity adjustments and settings
The oil feed system provides for fuel suction from a gas separator
tank, through a self-priming pump, and it provides for sending it
to the burner at the right pressure.
Such pressure is setted acting on the regulator included in the
pump (Fig. 30) after unscrewing protection plug (for pressure ad-
justment, see the enclosed nozzle diagrams).
The oil capacity modulation is executed through pressure regula-
tor 1)(Fig. 31); it operates altering the pressure on the nozzle re-
turn; such pressure is detectable through pressure gauge 2) after
unscrewing valve 3) lightly (in the course of the standard burner
operation, is advisable to keep pressure gauge valves 3) closed,
so that possible pressure blows cannot damage them).
As regards the capacity field setting, in which the nozzle must op-
erate, is necessary to adjust the maximum and minimum fuel
pressure on the nozzle return appropriately.
The procedure is the following:
after mounting the nozzle, remove servomotor protection
cover 4);
start the burner after verifying that the selector on electric
console is in "MANUAL" position.
In this phase of the operation, the servomotor should move at
about 20°C; if not, act on cam 3)(Fig. 27 on page 26)
A first minimum pressure setting on the nozzle return can be ex-
ecuted rotating shaft 5), so that the length is altered; when adjust-
ment is occurred, lock it with the respective lock nut.
For a correct operation at minimum, the pressure on return, de-
tectable on pressure gauge 2), will must be about 4 - 5 bar.
Usually, the variation of necessary pressure, at from minimum to
maximum capacity modulation, is obtained by 8 mm shaft 5)
stroke.
After executing such first setting, is advisable to turn off the burn-
er and rotate the cams manually, after unlocking the servomotor
through lever 7)(Fig. 27 on page 26), so as to verify that the shaft
5) stroke is not too high or insufficient.
