Using the Encrypted Transmission

When sending originals by encrypted transmission, use the Address Book registered for encryption or set encrypted
transmission when dialing directly using the numeric keys.

Display the screen.
[System Menu/Counter] key > [FAX] > "TX/RX Common" [Next] >
"Encrypt. Key Registration" [Add/Edit]
Deleting.

Select the encryption key you want to delete, and select [Delete].

Select [Yes].
This deletes the encryption key.
Finish deleting.
Select [Close].
NOTE
Encrypted transmission can be also used in broadcast transmission. With encryption
communication, you cannot conduct sub address transmission.
Register the encryption key ahead of time.
Register the encryption key that you decided upon with the recipient.
For the procedure for registering an encryption key, refer to the following:
Registering an Encryption Key (page 5-39)
Select [FAX] on the Home screen.
Place the originals.
Specifying destination.
Use the numeric keys to enter the destination fax number.
NOTE
When encrypted transmission has been set to a destination in the Address Book or One
Touch Key, you can use the destination.
Turn on encrypted transmission.

[Detail] > "Encrypted Transmission" [Change] > [On]

Select the encryption key number that you used to register the encryption key that you
decided upon with the recipient.
