This is ANAFI Ai's final approach signal. From there it descends steadily, around 1 m/s, from 8 m
height to its landing point.
Stabilize the direction of your vehicle and maintain the vehicle at a constant speed below 25
km/h (15.5 mph).
Up until ANAFI Ai has safely landed, you can abort the Vehicle landing by reclaiming the thrust
commands and making the drone climb, if any issue arises (for example, GPS loss, bump on the road,
wind gusts, water too choppy, etc.).
Always monitor and control Vehicle mission landings with care. Do not hesitate to briefly
stop the vehicle to perform a safer landing if you feel unsure about motion landing
conditions.
Note: The vehicle mission landing sequence is less effective when there is a strong contrast between
the vehicle and the vehicle surroundings, particularly when there is strong sun exposure. For
example, on a sunny day, ANAFI Ai may not be able to identify the vehicle and the landing zone, if:
The vehicle is a white boat on a dark lake.
The vehicle is a black car on ground covered in snow.
To reduce the contrast, add elements (paint, boards, non-reflective paper, etc.) to the vehicle so that
the landing area and the vehicle are not under/overexposed. Parrot recommends initiating Vehicle
mission flights from a distinctive black and white take-off/landing platform such as the Parrot landing
pad. You can download and print the Parrot landing pad here.
