6. Carefully
pull
out the
lighting
switch and tum signal
switch
wires from the handlebar.
Inspection
l. Check the handlebar
for
twist
or any other damage.

Check
each wiring
for breakage or
any
other
defect.
3.
Check
each cable
for
damage.
Assembly

lnstal.
l
the
lighting switch and
tum signal
switch
as-
semblies
to the handlebar.
To
do this,
tic
a wire
or
the
like to
the
ends of the wirings
and pass it
through
the
pipe,
being
careful
not to
twist or
kjnk the wiring;;.
NOTE:
tnstall the switches with the mating edges of the
switch
covers lined up with the punch marlcs
at
the rear of the
handlebar.
2. Install
the
handlebar,
aligning
the punch marks
on
the
handlebar
with
the top
face of the
lower holder.
Specified
tightening
torque:
180-
2S0
kg-cm
(13.0-18.1
lbs-ft.)
NOTE:
Wheo tighteoing
the
upper holders to the fork
top
bridge, tighten the bolts at the front first and then
those
at
the rear. Ile sure that the punch mark
on
the holders
is toward
the front of the machine.
3. Be sure that each
wiring
and cahle
is
free
from binding
or
kinking
when the handlebar is
tumed
to either left or
right fully.
