SETTING UP
& POWERING UP
After unpacking the instrument, set
it on a solid, flat surface; preferably
a keyboard stand.
Attach the Music Stand.
Be sure the POWER switch (7) is in
the OFF position.
Connect the supplied AC adaptor to
the DC IN connector (8).
Make sure the line voltage in your
area meets the power requirement
specified on the adaptor.
Connect the adaptor to a wall
outlet.
Set the VOLUME slider (11) toa
reasonable level (near the white
mark).
Press the POWER switch (7).
A number of LEDs will light and the
DISPLAY (21) will read "15"
(meaning that Style number 15=
Dance 1 has been selected).
Press a few keys to make sure that
the instrument is working properly,
or press and hold the DEMO button
(31) while pressing the START/STOP
button (45).
The E-38 will automatically play the
DEMO Songs in memory.
Press the START/STOP button (45)
or the DEMO button (31) to stop
demo playback.
Turn the instrument off by pressing
the POWER button again.
AUFSTELLEN DES E-38
Stellen Sie den E-38 nach dem
Auspacken auf eine ebene
Oberflache, am besten auf einen
Keyboard-Stander.
Setzen Sie den Notenständer in die
dafür vorgesehene Aussparung.
Stellen Sie sicher, daB sich der
Netzschalter (7) in der 'OFF'-
Position befindet.
Stecken Sie den Adapter in die DC
IN-Buchse (8).
Achten Sie darauf, daB die bendtigte
Stromversorgung des Netzteils mit
der Stromspannung Ihres Landes
übereinstimmt.
Stecken Sie den Netzadapter in die
Steckdose.
Stellen Sie den VOLUME-Regler (11)
auf einen vertretbaren Wert (nahe
des dicken weißen Striches).
Driicken Sie den POWER-Schalter (7)
Es leuchten nun mehrere LEDs auf
und das Display (21) zeigt die Zahl
'15' an, um Sie darauf hinzuweisen,
daß die Begleitung "15"= Dance
angewählt ist.
Spielen Sie auf der Tastatur oder
halten Sie den DEMO-Taster (31)
gedrückt, während Sie den START-
STOP-Taster (45) betätigen.
Der E-38 spielt nun die 8 internen
Demo-Songs.
Drücken Sie wiederum START/ STOP
(45) oder DEMO (31), um die
Wiedergabe der Demo-Songs
anzuhalten.
Schalten Sie den E-38 aus, indem Sie
den POWER-Schalter drücken.

INSTALLATION
Apres avoir sorti l'instrument
de son emballage, placez-le sur
une surface plane.
Placez le pupitre.
Assurez-vous que le
commutateur Power (7) n'est
pas enfoncé (position Off).
Connectez la fiche de
l'adaptateur dans la prise
prévue à cet effet (8).
Assurez-vous que la tension
du secteur correspond aux
besoins de l'appareil.
Connectez l'adaptateur à la
prise murale.
Réglez le curseur de Volume (11)
au maximum 2/3 de sa course.
Pressez le commutateur Power (7).
Différentes diodes s'allumeront
et l'afficheur (21) indiquera
le numéro 15 (cela signifie que
le style ^15"- Dance Та été
sélectionné).
Maintenant, pressez quelques
touches pour vérifier que
l'instrument fonctionne, ou
pressez le bouton Demo (31)
et au méme temps le bouton
Start/Stop (45).
Le E-38 reproduira automatiquement
huit morceaux de démonstration.
Aprés ce test, pressez le
bouton Start/Stop (45) ou le bouton
Demo (31) à nouveau pour stopper
la reproduction des morceaux
de démonstration.
Eteignez le E-38.
