Description

Memory module shield (included in Bracket Kit, spare part number L56447-001)
Before removing the memory modules, follow these steps:

Prepare the computer for disassembly

Remove the memory modules:
1.
Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (1) that secure the memory module shield to the system board.
2.
Remove the memory module shield (2).
TIP:
Clips on the system board secure the bottom edge of the memory module shield. When installing
the shield, be sure to insert the bottom edge of the shield into the clips.
3.
Spread the two retention clips outward (1) until the memory module tilts up at a 45-degree angle.
