Troubleshooting
To avoid risk of electrical shock, personal injury, or death, disconnect electrical power source to unit, unless test
procedures require power to be connected. Discharge capacitor through a resistor before attempting to service.
Ensure all ground wires are connected before certifying unit as repaired and/or operational.

Checking Oven Control Using Broil Selection

Disconnect power to the range.
Access control components and wiring.
Connect power.
120 VAC present on oven
control L1 to N?
Yes
Check oven control board with oven
control OFF
0.5 VAC present H1 to S2?
Yes
Turn oven control to broil
7.70 VAC present H1 to S2
while arcing?
Yes
Turn oven control to bake (350°F)
120 VAC present H1 to S2?
Yes
Turn oven control to bake (350°F)
10.5 VAC present SC to S2?
Yes
Repair or replace
defective wiring.
