Programming the default mode

You can use a monitor controlled by another display board in
your computer to program the default monitor mode for your
Md2/PCI board.
Use the
monitor mode. For example, if you want to program mode E
on the first board in the computer, type this command:
video_mode -d /dev/md2pci0.0 -m E
After you enter this command, you must reboot the computer to
activate the new default monitor mode.
To enable the blanking pedestal, use a lowercase letter when you
type the mode. For example, to program mode E with pedestal
enabled, type this command:
video_mode -d /dev/md2pci0.0 -m e
By default, blanking pedestal is disabled.
