Spindle Rotation Condition

In order to rotate spindle, conditions for safety should be satisfied. in a special case, it is
possible to cancel these conditions and operate a restricted spindle rotation.
All of the following conditions must be satisfied for spindle to rotate normally.
- Chuck clamp status.
- Door close stauts.
- Q-setter up status
- Safety switch lock status.
- In case that the spindle stop button is not active.
Releasing method of restriction conditions for spindle rotation
(1) Restrictions related to chucking
Spindle cannot be rotated unless the clamp of chuck is confirmed for safety. But for the
special cases as follows, it needs to rotate spindle in unclamp status of chuck.
- During synchronous control, it needs to rotate in unclamp status.
- During bar feeder feeding, it may need to rotate in unclamp status.
To rotate main spindle in unclamp status of chuck can be executed using M-code listed
below. Following operation is executed only in automatic mode.
M31 : for main spindle
- Command "M31" in clamp status of chuck.
- Unclamp chuck using "M69" command.
- After this, spindle can be rotated in unclamp status.
- In case of clamping again, restriction release related to chucking becomes to invalid.
These operations are available only when auto mode is selected.
1. Spindle rotation in the unclamp status of chuck using M31 must be executed with
deep attention. Execution without attention may injure human or cause the machine
damage.
2. Spindle rotation in the unclamp status of chuck is only valid in automatic command
of automatic mode. In manual mode, spindle rotation is impossible.
