Spindle Rotation Command in auto mode
The spindle automatic command is available only if the automatic mode is selected.
In case of commanding M-code related to main, sub, or milling spindle, the each spindle will
be selected automatically, and executes M-code function.
(1) Spindle rotation command format
S... : Spindle speed in rpm for the master spindle
S<n>=... : Spindle speed in rpm for spindle <n>
Note:
The speed specified with S0=... applies to the master spindle.
M3: Direction of spindle rotation clockwise for master spindle
M<n>=3: Spindle direction of rotation CW for spindle <n>
M4: Direction of spindle rotation counterclockwise for master spindle
M<n>=4: Spindle direction of rotation CCW for spindle <n>
M5: Spindle stop for master spindle
M<n>=5: Spindle stop for spindle <n>
SETMS(<n>): Set spindle <n> as master spindle
(2) Example of 1000rpm rotation command for each spindle
- M1=3/M1=4 S1=1000 : MAIN SPINDLE CW/CCW
- M2=3/M2=4 S2=1000 : MILLING SPINDLE CW/CCW
1. In case of commanding spindle rotation in G96 mode (constant surface control
function), spindle does not rotate with the speed commanded by S-code. In order to
rotate with the speed commanded by S-code, set spindle override to 100% and
command G97 mode (constant surface control function release).
