of the sewing machine.

Cause
The stitch length dial is not
set to setting "A – K" or "L –
S"
The stitch length dial and the
stitch pattern selection dial
settings do not correspond
The needle position is too
low
Needle no. 9/65 is being
used
Needle incorrectly inserted
The needle is bent
Threading of the needle bar
thread guide is incorrect
Countermeasure
Set the stitch length dial to the
appropriate setting
Select the same setting on
the stitch length dial and the
pattern selection dial
Turn the handwheel so that the
line is at the top
Use needle sizes 11/75 to
16/100
Insert the needle correctly
Use a straight needle
Rethread the needle bar thread
guide correctly
