Rear Wheel Toe–In
After every 800 operating hours or annually, check rear
wheel toe–in.
1. Measure center–to–center distance (at axle height)
at front and rear of steering tires. Front measurement
must be 1/8 in. (3 mm) less than rear measurement.
2. To adjust toe–in:
A.
Remove cotter pins and nuts securing ball joints
to steering arms. Separate ball joint from arm.
B. Loosen clamps at both ends of tie rod.
C. Rotate ball joints to move front of tire inward or
outward.
D. Tighten tie rod clamps when adjustment is cor
rect.
