Connecting up

Connecting the speakers

Do not connect any of the supplied speakers
to any other amplifier. This may result in
malfunction or fire.
These speakers are magnetically shielded.
However, depending on the installation
location, color distortion may occur if the
speaker system is installed extremely close
to the screen of a television set. If this
happens, turn off the television set, and then
turn it on after 15 to 30 minutes. If the
problem persists, move the speaker system
away from the television set.
Connecting the front
speakers
To get the best sound from the system, it's
important that you connect the two speaker
cords attached to each front speaker to the
correct speaker terminals on the unit. The
terminals and cords are color-coded to help
you match them up.
Connect the front speakers to the
amplifier as shown below.
Use the attached red and black speaker
cords.
Make sure that the bare speaker wires
cannot touch each other, or come into
contact with other metal parts once the unit
is switched on.

Connecting the front speaker cables

This is shown in the diagrams below.

Pull off the protective covers on the
ends of each cord, then twist the ex-
posed wire strands together.

Push the tab to open, then insert the
twisted wire fully into the terminal.

Release the tab to secure the speaker
cord.

Connecting the center
speaker
Connect the center speaker to the
amplifier.
Use the attached RCA pin-plug speaker cord.
Insert completely.
