4. To accommodate THX level requirements, the MAIN AUDIO
OUTPUTS labeled FRONT L/R are about 2dB lower than the
ZONE 2 and RECORD AUDIO OUTPUTS when an analog input
source is present and about 8dB lower than the ZONE 2 and
RECORD AUDIO OUTPUTS when a digital input source is
present. The ZONE 2 and RECORD AUDIO OUTPUTS are the
same level as the input source.
5. When the 5.1-channel analog input is selected, signals sent to
outputs for which the corresponding CUSTOM SETUP or THX
SETUP menu parameter is set to NONE will not be redirected
to other channels. It is recommended that DVD-A and SACD
player speaker configurations be identical to the MC-12
speaker configuration.
6. When the INTERNAL NOISE TEST is in process, it is possible to
manually select a speaker just as the cursor is about to
automatically scroll to that speaker. This might cause the
MC-12 to send the noise signal to both outputs. If this occurs,
reselect the desired speaker.
7. When the RECORD ADV menu DIG OUT RATE parameter
setting is adjusted, the RECORD AUDIO OUTPUT labeled
S/PDIF will mute momentarily – even if the RECORD ADV menu
DIGITAL BYPASS parameter is set to ON.
8. When the MAIN command bank is selected, pressing the
remote control 7/5 button will not toggle between 7 and
5-channel playback if the CUSTOM SETUP or THX SETUP menu
REAR L/R or CUSTOM SETUP menu SIDE L/R parameters are set
to NONE. The message, "FEATURE UNAVAILABLE DUE TO
CONFIGURATION" will appear on the on-screen and front
panel displays.

9. When the MAIN ADV menu ANALOG BYPASS parameter is set
to ON, the front panel Mode
+ and –, and remote control mode family selection buttons are
not available. When pressed, the message "NOT AVAILABLE
DURING BYPASS" will appear on the on-screen and front panel
displays.
10. When the remote control dts button is pressed while a PCM
digital input source is present, the dts NEO:6 FILM listening
mode is selected.
11. The remote control SHIFT-THX, SHIFT-DOLBY, and SHIFT-dts
command sequences are not available when a 5.1-channel
analog input source is present. When pressed, the message
"NOT AVAILABLE DURING 5.1a" will appear on the on-screen
and front panel displays.
12. The RECORD ADV menu ANLG IN LVL parameter affects the
digital RECORD AUDIO OUTPUT labeled S/PDIF. This parameter
prevents the internal A/D converter from overloading. It can be
adjusted while listening to an input source.
13. The ANLG IN LVL menu level meters indicate signal levels for
the selected input, whether an analog or digital input source is
present. For example, the level meters will indicate digital input
signal levels when a digital input source is present.
14. The ANLG IN LVL menu level meters appear in combinations of
green, yellow, and red when the on-screen display has a blue-
screen background. Green indicates low input levels, yellow
indicates normal input levels, and red indicates the onset of
overload.
