It contains release notes that provide information about the new and enhanced features of Software Version 2.0. It also includes release notes for Software Version 1.1 and errata notes for the MC-12 User Guide (Rev 1).

  • Page 5: Zone 2 & Record Zone Volume Control

    As in previous software releases, it is not required to press and hold front panel buttons to use the volume knob to adjust Main Zone volume level. The MC-12 automatically adjusts Main Zone volume level when no front panel buttons are pressed and held while the volume knob is rotated.

  • Page 12 When the ZONE2 IN or RECORD IN CAUTION parameter is set to DIGITAL or ANLG, the MC-12 recognizes some dts-encoded input sources as audio signals (not data signals) and outputs loud digital noise from the ZONE 2 or RECORD AUDIO OUTPUTS.

    SETUP TRIGGERS TRIGGER 1 or 2 This section replaces the TRIGGER SETUP section that begins on page 3-35 of the MC-12 User Guide (Rev 1). Selecting the SETUP menu TRIGGERS option prompts the selection of the desired TRIGGER OUTPUT connector. The MC-12 rear panel includes three 12V DC TRIGGER OUTPUT connectors, labeled PWR, 1, and 2.

    MC-12 STATUS MENUS @@@, SHIFT S T A T STATUS menus provide information about the current input source and listening mode. Unlike most menus, STATUS menus cannot be accessed through the selection of menu options. Rather, the remote control SHIFT-STAT command sequence must be executed.

    Controls the dts-ES decoding feature. When set to AUTO, the MC-12 engages dts-ES decoding for flagged dts-ES-encoded input sources. The MC-12 does not engage dts-ES decoding for other dts input sources, including non-flagged dts-ES-encoded input sources. When set to ON, the MC-12 engages dts-ES decoding for all dts(-ES) input sources.
  • Page 29 5.1-channel input source with a matrix-encoded surround channel is present. When the parameter value is NONE, a standard dts input source with no dts-ES encoding is present. The MC-12 cannot automatically detect dts-ES encoding for non-flagged dts-ES-encoded input sources.
  • Page 30 Applies a high-frequency rolloff to the MAIN AUDIO OUTPUTS labeled SIDE L/R and REAR L/R. This rolloff is only applied to output signals generated by the MC-12. Signals above the rolloff that are part of the source recording are passed through without filtering.

    ERRATA NOTES The errata notes that begin below reflect additions and modifications to the MC-12 User Guide (Rev 1) based on Software Version 2.0. These errata notes replace all errata notes that appeared in previous documentation. 1. When switching audio formats, the MC-12 will momentarily mute under certain conditions until the new audio format is recognized.
