STATUS MENUS

@@@,
SHIFT
S T A T
STATUS menus provide information about the current input source
and listening mode. Unlike most menus, STATUS menus cannot be
accessed through the selection of menu options. Rather, the
remote control SHIFT-STAT command sequence must be executed.
This command sequence is described below.
When this command sequence is executed, the STATUS menu that
appears depends on whether a 2-channel, Dolby Digital, dts(-ES),
5.1-channel analog, or unknown digital input source is present. If
a 5.1-channel analog input source is present, the STATUS menu
that appears also depends on whether the MAIN ADV menu
ANALOG BYPASS parameter is set to ON or OFF.
To access and navigate the STATUS menu for the current input
source:
1. Press the remote control SHIFT button to activate the SHIFT
command bank.
2. Press the remote control STAT button. The first page of the
STATUS menu for the current input source will appear on the
on-screen and front panel displays. All STATUS menus are
shown on page 27.
3. Press the STAT button again to access the second page of the
STATUS menu. If the STATUS menu does not include a second
page, pressing the STAT button a second time will exit the
menu. If the STATUS menu does include a second page, press
the STAT button a third time to exit the menu.

4. Press the remote control MENU 5 and 6 arrows to scroll
upward and downward through the complete list of
parameters on the current page. The name of the highlighted
parameter will appear on the front panel display.
Note:
STATUS menu parameters provide information about
the current input source and listening mode. These
parameters cannot be adjusted.

STATUS MENU LEVEL METERS

Most STATUS menus contain level meters that indicate fluctuating
input levels in the front left (L), center (C), front right (R), surround
left (SL), surround right (SR), surround back (SB), and LFE channels.
Different combinations of level meters appear on each STATUS
menu. The SB level meter will appear when a 6.1-channel input
source is present, or when a 5.1-channel input source is present
and the ES DECODING parameter is set to ON for the selected
listening mode.
All level meters appear in combinations of green, yellow, and red
when the on-screen display has a blue-screen background. Green
indicates low input levels, yellow indicates normal input levels, and
red indicates the onset of overload.
