Tighten the mounting screws to a torque of 4 to 4.5

Nm (36 to 40 lb. in.).

Install the short link with the cutout facing up towards

the bracket. Tighten the nut to a torque of 20 to 22.5

Nm (180 to 200 lb. in.).

Install the bracket on the housing. Tighten the bolts

to a torque of 22 to 24 Nm (16 to 18 lb. ft.).

Section 25 - Four-Wheel Drive Front Axle - Chapter 11

Apply Loctite 243 to the male threads of the ball joint.

Install the ball joint onto the axle and tighten to a

torque of 19 to 20 Nm (165 to 180 lb. in.).

With the unit in the collapsed position, install

remaining ball joint onto the sensor arm. Tighten the

nut to a torque of 20 to 22.5 Nm (180 to 200 lb. in.).
