Warning and control
Rear Cross-Traffic Safety will warning
the driver when a collision is imminent.

To warning the driver of an approaching
vehicle from the rear left/right side of
your vehicle, the outside rearview mirror
will blink and a warning will appear on
the cluster. At the same time, an audible
warning will sound. If the Rear View
Monitor system is operating, a warning
will also appear on the infotainment
screen.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW)
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning will
operate when the following conditions
are satisfied:
僅 Your vehicle gear is shifted to R
(Reverse)
僅 Your vehicle speed is below 8 km/h (5
mph)
僅 The approaching vehicle is within
approximately 25 m (82 feet) from the
left and right side of your vehicle
僅 The speed of the vehicle approaching
from the left and right is above 5 km/
h (3 mph)
WARNING
僅 When setting Rear Cross-Traffic
Safety, be sure to stop and operate in
a safe place for safety.
僅 The Rear Cross-Traffic Safety warning
message may not be displayed or the
warning alarm may not sound whilst
other function warning message is
displaying or alarm is sounding.
僅 The Rear Cross-Traffic Safety warning
sound may not be audible due to the
noise inside or outside the vehicle.
僅 If changing the gear quickly whilst the
vehicle moving forward, Rear Cross-
Traffic Safety may not work or may
operate unnecessarily.
僅 Rear Cross-Traffic Safety may delay
warning or not warn depending on
the traffic and driving conditions, so
always check your surroundings for
danger.
僅 It is the driver's responsibility to oper-
ate the vehicle. Do not drive danger-
ously depending on the system, check
your surroundings and drive safely.
僅 Never test against people or objects.
Serious injury or death could result.
