Driving your vehicle
With the ignition switch or ENGINE
START/STOP button in the ON position,
select 'Driver Assistance → Warning vol-
ume' from the User Settings menu to
change the Warning volume to 'High',
'Medium', or 'Low' for Forward Collision-
Avoidance Assist.
If you change the Warning volume, the
Warning volume of other Driver Assis-
tance systems may change.
CAUTION
僅 The setting of the Warning timing and
Warning volume applies to all func-
tions of Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist.
僅 Even though 'Normal' is selected for
Warning timing, if the front vehicle
suddenly stops, the initial warning
activation time may not seem late.
僅 Select 'Late' for Warning timing when
traffic is light and when driving speed
is slow.
NOTICE
If the engine is restarted, Warning timing
and Warning volume will maintain the
last setting.
Forward Collision-Avoidance
Assist operation
Warning and control
The basic function for Forward Collision-
Avoidance Assist is to warn and control
the vehicle depending on the collision
level: 'Collision warning', 'Emergency
braking' and 'Stopping vehicle and end-
ing brake control'.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) (Sensor fusion)
Collision Warning
僅 To warn the driver of a collision, the
'Collision warning' warning message
will appear on the cluster, an audible
warning will sound.
僅 If a vehicle is detected in front, the
function will operate when your vehi-
cle speed is between approximately
10~180 km/h (6~110 mph).
僅 If a pedestrian is detected in front, the
function will operate when your vehi-
cle speed is between approximately
10~85 km/h (6~53 mph).
僅 If 'Active assist' is selected, braking
may be assisted.
Emergency Braking
僅 To warn the driver that emergency
braking will be assisted, the 'Emer-
