Fault Diagnosis and Troubleshooting
REMEDIAL ACTION
Search for a line fault trunk by

CMB0 Y=1
or CMF5 Y=0.
Check to see if the
2
trunk line is faulty.
Search for stations in line
1
lockout by the configuration
report on the MAT.
Place the handset of any
2
station in line lockout back
onto the hookswitch.
If the station remains in the
3
line lockout state, check the
line state (the line between the
station and the PBX may be
shorted).
Check the cable connection
1
between the terminal and the
PBX.
Check to see if the cable is cut
2
off.
Check to see if the Tip wire of
3
the cable is grounded.
Check to see if a short circuit
exists on the line.
Check to see if the Ring wire of
the cable is grounded.
Check the cable connection

between the terminal and the
PBX.
Check to see if the cable is cut

off.
