Using 26mm spanner to hold tail jaw housing (Item 42), unscrew jaw housing (Item 45) using Jaw housing key
(07900-00194).
Unscrew tail jaw housing (Item 42) from body (Item 38).
Using 2 x 5/8" spanners remove lock nut (Item 46) from piston (Item 41).
Unscrew piston nut (Item 47) from piston (Item 41). Separate O-ring (Item 5) from piston nut.
Remove buffer stop (Item 48 x 3) from piston (Item 41).
Unscrew barrel (Item 33) from barrel nut (Item 32) using 18mm spanner.
WARNING: There may be residual spring load in following two steps. Care must be taken to remove the spring
load.
Using 6mm hex key, remove screw (Item 3) from barrel retainer (Item 35).
Slide barrel retainer (Item 35) away from body (Item 38).
Set aside O-rings (Items 11 and 13). Set aside seal spring guides (Items 21 and 34).
Set aside Spring (Item 36).
Remove spring guide (Item 21) and spacer (Item 37).
Slide piston (Item 41) out of body (Item 38).
Optional: Unscrew button head screws (Item 1) and bonded seals (Item 6) from body (Item 38).
Remove piston guidance tape-short (Item 40) and hydraulic seal (Item 14) from inside the body (Item 38).
Set body (Item 38) aside.
Pull apart piston (Item 41) and barrel nut (Item 32). This exposes an O-ring (Item 25), set aside.
Remove hydraulic seal (Item 15) and piston guidance tape-long (Item 39).
Assembly Instructions:
Clean all the parts thoroughly. Inspect and replace any parts that are worn or damaged.
Assembly is the reverse procedure for dismantling.
Ensure that the seals are replaced in the correct orientation. Lubricate all seals and housings, with Molylithium Grease
(07992-00020).
When fitting the piston (Item 26) into the body (Item 38), it is essential that the assembly bullet 07900-00669 is used to
prevent seal damage.
All item numbers refer to the General Assembly and Part List in section 6.0.

5.7 PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

Assure conformity with applicable disposal regulations. Dispose all waste products at an approved waste facility or site
so as not to expose personnel and the environment to hazards.
