Sounds come from the camera interior.
The camera's orientation
was changed.
When the power is turned on
"Card locked!" message appears.
The SD memory card's or
SDHC memory card's
write protect tab is set to
"Write protect".
The Date/Time menu appears.
The lithium date battery
charge is depleted.
The battery holder was
removed.
LCD monitor/Viewfinder
Nothing displays.
[Power Saving] is set to
[Display Off].
The camera orientation detection
mechanism is operating. If the camera
is turned off, the sound may also be
that of the internal lens moving. This is
not a malfunction.
When recording to, erasing from or
formatting the memory card, slide the
write protect tab upward (p. 250).
Replace the lithium date battery
(p. 265).
The date and time settings need to be
reset since they were lost (p. 14).
Press any button other than the power
button or change the camera
orientation to turn the LCD monitor
back on (p. 211).
