[MIC TRIM] controls
These controls adjust the input levels of external microphone received from the
[ANALOG IN] XLR connectors within the range between -50dBu and -10dBu.
These controls are not effective for the internal microphones or line inputs received from
the [ANALOG IN] phone connectors.

LCD display
Displays various kinds of information including audio input/output levels, current
settings, etc. See "Details about screens" on page 44 for details.

[FILE PREV] / [LOC
When more than one audio file exists on the card, pressing this key switches the current file
to the previous entry in the list.
If any cue points (CUE 01 through 99) are stored in the current file, pressing this key while
holding down the [SHIFT] key skips back to the previous cue point.

[LIGHT /
CONTRAST
By pressing this key briefly, the backlight of the display lights for three seconds and then
automatically turns off.
By pressing down this key for more than two second, the backlight turns continuously on.
To turn off the backlight in this condition, press this key again.
When operating the unit on batteries, to save the battery power, we recom-

mend not to keep the backlight continuously on unless it is necessary.
Note that, if you turn off the unit's power while the backlight continuously lights and
then turn on the unit, the backlight continuously lights.
You can adjust the display contrast by pressing this key while holding down the [SHIFT]
key. See "Adjusting the display contrast" on page 30 for details.
