<How to enter a file name>
The cursor in [ ] at the top on the editing screen is called "file name cursor", while the
cursor in the character selection area is called "character selection cursor".
You can move the file name cursor by using the [REWIND] or [F FWD] key, while you
can move the character selection cursor by using the [+] or [-] key. By pressing and
holding down the [+] or [-] key, the cursor moves fast.
File name cursor
At the bottom of the screen, the following four functions are available.
[INS]:
Inserts a space at the right of the file name cursor position.
[DEL]:
Deletes a character on the file name cursor position.
[OK]:
Fixes the file name entered.
[QUIT]:
Quits the file name editing.
<Example of file name entry>
1)
Use the [REWIND] or [F FWD] key to move the file name cursor to the position where
you can edit.
2)
Use the [+] or [-] key to move the character selection cursor to the desired character.
3)
Repeat the steps 1) and 2) above until you complete entering the desired file name.
The maximum length of a file name string is 19 characters.
<How to delete a character>
1)
Use the [REWIND] or [F FWD] key to move the file name cursor to the character you
want to delete.
2)
Use the [+] or [-] key to move the character selection cursor to "[DEL]".
3)
Press the [MENU/ENTER] key to delete the selected character.
All characters on the right of the deleted character are shifted to the left.
If you move the reel number cursor to the leftmost character in step 1), you

can delete a whole file name by repeating step 3) as many times as required.
<How to insert a character>
1)
Use the [REWIND] or [F FWD] key to move the file name cursor to the position where
you want to insert a character.
2)
Use the [+] or [-] key to move the character selection cursor to "[INS]".
3)
Press the [MENU/ENTER] key.
4)
Use the [+] or [-] key to select a desired character to be inserted.
4)
When you finish entering the desired file name, press the [MENU/ENTER] key to store the
file name.
The unit starts the operation for storing the entered name.
When completed, "Completed!" is shown on the screen and the display returns to show the
playback files (see next page).
