Using the Setup menu, you can do the following for setting preferences, etc.
1.
Enables or disables the auto level control and limiter functions.
2.
Enables or disables the high pass filter.
3.
Selects the default recording audio format.
4.
Selects the recording source.
5.
Turns the phantom power on or off.
6.
Selects the monitor mode.
7.
Enables or disables the internal speaker.
8.
Selects the default file name type.
9.
Sets the default file name.
10.
Enables or disables the pre record function.
11.
Selects the time display mode.
12.
Selects the remaining display mode.
13.
Sets the maximum file size.
14.
Selects the internal battery type.
15.
Enables or disables the error tone function.
16.
Adjusts the realtime clock.
17.
Shows the ROM version.
18.
Initializes the Setup menu settings.
19.
Upgrades the software.

Enabling or disabling the auto level control and limiter functions (ALC)

The "ALC" item enables or disables the auto level control and limiter functions.
In the following description, it is assumed that the FR-2LE is in the MENU mode and the main
menu screen is shown ("File >" is highlighted).
This menu item can be set in the quick setup mode (see page 55).
<Note>:
1)
Use the [+] or [-] key to select "Setup >" and press the [MENU/ENTER] key.
The display now shows the Setup menu.
2)
While "ALC: Off" is highlighted, press the [MENU/ENTER] key.
The current setting (by default, "Off") starts flashing and you can now make setting.
