The FR-2 software has been updated to V1.03 to add and rectify the following points. Referring to the attached
software update procedures PDF file, update the FR-2 software accordingly. The WinZip compressed software
update file "fr02_V103.zip" is attached for your update.
1. FR-2 with the V1.03 software now allows to record and reproduce data onto the Toshiba and other third
party's PCM/CIA HD.
2. FR-2 with the V1.03 software can directly be connected to the USB port of Macintosh computer with OS10.2
or later by putting FR-2 into the USB mode for data transfer.
CAUTION: Although the FR-2 recording medium (CF card, PCM/CIA HD) is formatted by FAT-32, Macintosh
computer with OS9.X.X does not comply to FAT-32 format. Do not connect FR-2 to Macintosh
computer with OS9.X.X. If you do so, the recorded files on the medium will collapse.
3. The cue point register by the press of MARK CUE key in the PLAY mode is not correctly executed on FR-2
with the previous software. This bug has been rectified on the V1.03 software.
4. The new SETUP mode "MaxFileSize" has been added on FR-2 with the V1.03 software. This allows to create
a file with the capacity up to 4GB. Please be careful that the maximum capacity of one file differs depending
on the PC OS version to which the FR-2 recorded data is to be transferred.
5. The current drive indication (CF: CF card, PC: PCM/CIA HD) on the LCD has been newly added on the
V1.03 software.
