• Make sure that the PC can log into the e-mail
server.
• Check that the account and password stored in
the server are the same as in the machine.

• Make sure that the client devices which have
an account in the server can send/receive e-
mail.

Send a test e-mail with the machine's own number
as the destination. The machine receives the
returned e-mail if the communication is performed
successfully.]
• Make sure that the e-mail address is actually
used.
• Check that the e-mail address contains no
incorrect characters such as spaces.
• Use the "ping" command to contact the router.
• Check that other devices connected to the
router can sent data over the router.

• Check whether e-mail can be sent to another
address on the same network, using the
application e-mail software.
• Check the error e-mail message.
