Replacing the Elevation Motor
Required Materials

Misc Hand Tools and Fasteners
•
Replacement Azimuth Motor
•
Belt Tension Device/Meter
•
Torque Wrench(es) 0-75 Nm with hex wrench sockets
•
Loctite Threadlocker 222 – Low Strength - Removable
•
Loctite Threadlocker 248 – Medium Strength – Removable
1. Disconnect the Elevation Motor from internal wiring harness. Remove the tension wedge
screw. While lifting up on the elevation motor tap the tension wedge towards the rear of the
antenna to release tension allowing for removal.

2. There should be enough slack to slid the belt out. Once the belt is free, we can lift the motor
freely and remove the tension wedge
