Configuring the Library
The customer is responsible for configuring the library and the drives, including
encryption, partitions, and other configuration settings. Refer the customer to the
configuration instructions in the IBM System Storage TS3400 Tape Library Planning and
Operator Guide.
Note: If this library is attached to an IBM System Storage TS1120 Tape Controller,

Do not connect the other end of the cable to the customer's fibre fabric or host
HBA. The customer will attach the other end of the cable during the
configuration of the library.
Library Control Blade (see Figure 6-24). If the Ethernet connection will be directly
attached to a server or PC by the customer during configuration of the library, a
crossover cable may be required.
