How to check the serial number for each
manufacturer

please check with the Repair Desk and Support Center.

Open the kickstand and look
for the number near the
bottom.
Check on the Surface device
or the accessory itself.
Look at the back or bottom of
the device or at the battery
compartment, if there is one.
Check the bottom of the
keyboard near the hinge.
If you have kept the original
packaging for your Surface,
you can check the barcode
label for the serial number.
