2 Initial Setup
Setup procedure when starting up the Surface for the
first time (3/6)
* The user created in the "Who will use this device?" screen is the
user who will configure the settings of the Surface. You can sign in
even when you are not connected to Wi-Fi. In this document, we will
refer to this user as "administrator user."
* The administrator user can give any name, but be sure to enter it
using single-byte alphanumeric characters. Hiragana, Katakana, and
Kanji are not available.
In addition, the following characters cannot be used.
<, >, : ,", /, ¥, |, ?, *, @, CON, COM1-COM9, LPT1-LPT8, NUL and
PRN
16 The "Please Confirm
License Agreement" screen
will appear.
17 Check the contents.
18 Tap "Agree."
19 The "Who will use this
device?" screen will appear.
20 Enter the user (*) who will
manage this Surface in the
"Name" field.
21 Tap "Next."
