About protective film

This section describes the protective film.
One protective film is included with each Surface. Use it to prevent
scratches on the Surface screen.
Be sure to remove the film when repairing.
1 Dust off the Surface screen display area beforehand. Use a cloth
that will not produce dust, such as a cleaning cloth, instead of
tissue paper.
2 The protective film has two sides: a side with the sticker that
says, "(1) Peel off this sheet first and then attach it to the LCD
screen," and a side with a sticker that says, "(2) After attaching to
the LCD screen, peel off this sheet before use."
3 Peel off the sticker that says, "(1) Peel off this sheet first and
then attach it to the LCD screen."
4 Attach the side that had the sticker that says, "(1) Peel off this
sheet first and then attach it to the LCD screen," to the Surface's
LCD screen.
5 Start from the short side, and use a cleaning cloth to push out
the air as you apply.
6 After you have finished applying the film to the LCD screen of
the Surface, hold the side with the sticker that says "(2) After
attaching to the LCD screen, peel off this sheet before use," to peel
off the film on the surface.
