Preparing the Machine

Perform the following procedure to prepare the mower
for attaching the blower and finishing kit.

Bolt (3/8 x 1 inch)
Locknut (3/8 inch)
Blower belt

Blower assembly
Belt cover
Bolt (1/2 x 2-1/2 inches)
Nut (1/2 inch)
Front guard
Back guard
Bolt (1/4 x 5/8 inch)
Nut (1/4 inch)
Latch bracket assembly
Bolt (3/8 x 2-1/2 inches)
Nut (3/8 inch)
Latch bracket strap
Screw (#10 x 1/2 inch)
Nut (#10)
Belt cover bracket
Carriage bolt (1/4 x 3/4 inch)
Locknut (1/4 inch)
Throttle stop

Prepare the machine.

Install the pulley assembly.
Remove the existing anti-scalp roller
and bracket (for 60-inch decks only).

Install the blower hinge.

Route the blower belt into the blower
assembly.

Install the blower assembly.

Install the belt cover and bolt.

Install the blower guards.

Install the throttle stop.

Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the PTO, move the motion-control levers to the

brake.

Turn the key switch to the O
the key, and wait for all movement to stop before
leaving the operating position.
3.
Repair all bent or damaged areas on the mower
deck and replace any missing parts.
4.
Clean any debris off the deck or rear part of the
mower to ease installation.
