11.7 Mode 00 Data

11.7.1 Modulator to CCB

Mode '00' is the default communication mode, which has the capability of enabling the cell output, commanding the
left or right poles, or in the case of electronic bypass, requesting that cell bypass be enabled. Note that this method of
handling bypass (electronic or SCR) is no longer used (this function is maintained for compatibility). Therefore,
when the CPU enables the Bypass, both this bit and the equivalent one in the M.V. Bypass Control Board are sent.
Mode "00" also provides a 600 Hz reference signal to be used by the CCB for generating cell temperature response
data (for simplicity, all the modes send this bit, but only in mode 00 does the Modulator gets a proper response from
the CCB).
