Starting a Session

If configured for Timeout Enable, you are automatically logged out when a login is
required and a timeout occurs. You will be prompted for your login next time you
try and use the interface.
You can also end a session using the screen function area of the user interface.
Procedure
To log out using the screen function area:
1. Press Ctrl-a to switch from the screen area to the screen function key area.
2. Select Exit by entering e and pressing Return. The session is ended.
Depending on how your network is configured, you can start a session using one
of the following methods:
Telnet session through an in-band management channel through the frame
relay network.
Telnet session through a local in-band management channel configured on
the DTE port between the FrameSaver access unit and the router.
Dialing in through an external modem to the COM port.
Direct connection over the COM port.
Telnet session over the COM port.
