Error Codes, Messages, and Solutions
Cause
The toner cartridge is not
installed properly.
The front cover is open.
A document is jammed in the
Automatic Document Feeder
(ADF).
The size of the paper in the
sheet feeder differs from that
specified in the FAX
PRINTER menu setting.
The toner cartridge in the
FAX-L250 is defective.
The unit is connected to an
uninterruptible power supply
(UPS).
The FAX-L250 has no paper
in its sheet feeder, or has a
paper jam.
You tried to use manual
sending via the handset while
the fax was sending from
memory.
It took more than 32 minutes
to send or copy a document.
It took more than 32 minutes
to receive a document.
The document is longer than
1 metre.
Action
Make sure the toner cartridge is
installed properly.
Close the front cover.
Remove the document you are
trying to send or copy and load
it again.
Set the correct paper size in the
FAX PRINTER menu setting.
1. Reinstall the cartridge.
2. Unplug the FAX-L250, wait
five seconds, then plug it in
again. If the display does
not change, call for service.
Make sure the power cord is
plugged into an AC outlet.
Add paper or clear the jam. If a
document was received in
memory, the fax prints the
received documents from
memory.
Wait until the fax is sent and
try again, or use memory
sending.
Divide the document and send
or copy each part separately.
Contact the sender, and have
them divide the document and
send each part separately.
Use a copier to divide the
document into smaller sections
and send the copy.
