Disconnect the connectors from the inverter.

Remove any tape holding the old inverter in place, then remove the inverter from
the front of the LCD panel assembly.

Insert the new inverter, replacing any tape that may have been holding the inverter
in place.

Reconnect the cables.

Two types of tape are used in this Gateway notebook:
Mylar, non-conductive tape is typically transparent, with a red or

brown tint.
Conductive tape is typically grey or silver.

If the existing tape cannot be reused, replace it with the same type
(conductivity) of tape. Both types of replacement tape should be
non-ESD generating tape.
Do not use cellophane tape.
