To transfer desired tracks only
You can transfer only the tracks that you desire by
registering them to a program. Create the program
before recording the tracks (page 44).

Press HDD to select the HDD
function.

Do the procedure of step 1 to 4
of "Creating your own program
(Program play)" (page 44) to create a
program.

Press TRANSFER on the main unit
while the unit is stopped.

Press  /  to select "All Step", and
then press ENTER.
Note
In the case of programmed tracks transferred to a
"WALKMAN" or a USB device, the play back order
will be in accordance with the playback rules of the
"WALKMAN" or the USB device. For this reason, the
tracks may not play back in the order that they were
programmed on the unit.
About free space requirements on
the "WALKMAN" or the USB device
for transfers
The free space required on the "WALKMAN" or
the USB device depends on the length (playing
time) of the track to be transferred.
The following table is an example of transferring
tracks of MP3 format and a bit rate of 128 kbps,
44.1 kHz.

To check the amount of free space remaining
on the "WALKMAN" or the USB device, press
WM-PORT/USB to select the WM-PORT/USB
function, and then press DISPLAY while the
"WALKMAN" or the USB device is stopped (page
40).
