1. Safe Zone — Use the machine here
2. Danger Zone - Use a walk behind machine or a hand held
tool near drop offs, ditches, embankments, water or other
hazards.

5. Keep a safe distance (twice the width of the machine)
between the machine and any hazard.
Use extra care while operating the machine with
attachments; they can affect the stability of the
machine.
If the engine stalls or you begin to lose momentum
while climbing a hill, gradually apply the brakes
and slowly back straight down the hill.
Always keep the transmission in gear (if applicable)
when you drive the machine down a slope.
Do not park the machine on an incline.
The weight of the material in the tank can change
the handling of the machine. To avoid loss of
control and personal injury, follow these guidelines:
– When operating with a heavy load, reduce your
speed and allow for sufficient braking distance.
Do not suddenly apply the brakes. Use extra
caution on slopes.
– Liquid loads shift, especially while turning,
going up or down slopes, suddenly changing
speeds, or while driving over rough surfaces.
Shifting loads can cause the machine to tip
over.

Operating the Machine

Starting the Engine
CAUTION
The machine produces sound levels in excess
of 85 dBA at the operator's ear, and may
cause hearing loss through extended periods
of exposure.
Wear hearing protection while operating the
machine.

Move the motion-control levers to the N
position and engage the parking brake; refer to
Motion-Control Levers (page 13)

Attach the lanyard to the safety-interlock switch
and clip the lanyard to yourself.

Move the throttle lever midway between the

Important:

attempts. Failure to follow these guidelines
can overheat the starter motor
