Before commissioning the VEH 30.1/30.2 or the VCH 08.1, the operator has to
verify that the installation, especially the safety devices, are in a proper status.
NOTICE
Before commissioning the IndraControl VEH 30.1/30.2 oder VCH 08.1 do ob‐
serve that the STOP button is not pressed.
To connect the hand-held terminals VEH 30.1/30.2 or VCH 08.1 put the angled
connector without effort on the flange of the VAC connection module. Observe
the latch position of the connection. Former connecting cables with angled plug,
are fitted in a 45° angle to the horizontal. Only if the connector snaps in properly,
the correct position is reached. Now turn the knurled nut with slight pressure
on the flange.
NOTICE
While the connector is screwed on a VAC connection module, a relay activates
the stop button. In this way the VEH 30.1/30.2 or VCH 08.1 is supplied with
voltage. Screw the knurled nut as far as the rubber seal is completely covered
and the end position is reached to ensure the optimal connection of the contacts
and to achieve the specified degree of protection.
During commissioning the IndraControl VEH 30.1/30.2 or VCH 08.1 and regu‐
larly during the routine operation verify all three positions of the enabling device
from both sides for correct function.
Verify the STOP button or EMERGENCY STOP button for correct function in
safe state of the plant of the IndraControl VEH 30.1/30.2 or VCH 08.1 in regular
intervals and during commissioning.
During commissioning the IndraControl VEH 30.1/30.2 or VCH 08.1 and regu‐
larly during the routine operation verify all three positions of the enabling button
from both sides for correct function.
The device may only be commissioned and connected by qualified staff.

The following tables show how the modules must be configured in
the PROFIBUS configurator depending on the type designation
code.
For comfortable configuration, we recommend you to use the GSD file
"RX030123.GSD" with the station name "VAM11, VAM41".
