Print Quality Problems

You see banding (light lines) in your printouts or copies.
Clean the print head; see page 72 for instructions.
The ink cartridges may need replacing; see page 69.
Select a higher print quality. If you're printing from your computer, turn off
High Speed
Try printing with Epson paper. Make sure the paper is loaded in the rear sheet
feeder, with the printable side face-up.
Your printout is blurry or smeared.
Make sure your paper isn't damp or curled.
Use Epson paper for proper saturation and absorption of Epson inks. Load it
with the printable side face-up in the rear sheet feeder.
Select the correct paper type setting for the paper you loaded (see page 32).
If you changed the Paper Thickness setting to
be sure to switch it back to
